Students in the McCormick High School Health Science program are partnering with the American Red Cross Upstate Chapter in sponsoring a blood drive on Friday, Dec. 6 at the school. The blood drive will be open to students and the public. Donors are encouraged to make an appointment online at www.redcrossblood.org. Enter the sponsor code CHIEFS and select a time to donate. Walk-ins are also welcome. All donors will receive coupons donated by Burger King in McCormick good for a free Croissan’wich, and those 18 and older will also receive a $5 Amazon gift card by email. The Red Cross is appealing for help to meet the constant demand for blood, especially during the holiday season when donors are busy with holiday travel and other activities.
