National Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Coming to City of Westminster on March 3rd

City will display incredible “Water/Ways” Exhibit beginning in early March until April 17

The City of Westminster has received a grant and been selected as the only upstate stop for
displaying the SC Humanities “Water/Ways” Exhibit. The Exhibit is set to arrive in at the Historic
Westminster Train Depot on March 3 and will take a few days to set up.

“Water/Ways” is a part of the Museum on Main Street program—a national/state/local
partnership to bring exhibitions and programs to rural cultural organizations. With the support
and guidance of state humanities councils, Westminster looks forward to developing future
exhibits, new public programs and facilitating educational initiatives to raise people’s
understanding about what water means culturally, socially and spiritually in their own
community.

Jessica Glymph, Westminster volunteer, stated, “With water covering more than 71% of the
Earth’s surface, this exhibit serves to bring awareness to the effect it brings to our local
landscape, culture and economic planning.”
