The S.C. Red Cross Upstate and local firefighters will provide and install smoke alarms in homes and apartments in the McCormick area on Sat., Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Smoke alarms and installation are FREE. Volunteers will go door-to-door on more than 20 streets in McCormick, and residents can also make appointments to have alarms installed by calling (800) 282-8660. This event is related to the ongoing Red Cross campaign to save lives by promoting home fire safety.
