An Evening of One Acts

ECTC will hold auditions for two one act plays on Tuesday, January 2 and Wednesday, January 3 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church on Jeter Street in Edgefield. Performance dates are February 8, 9, and 10, 2018. Auditions are open to anyone, ages 16 and up. Please be prepared for cold readings from the scripts.
Rehearsals will be on Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00. Please call 706-825-7981 for more information.
“Check, Please” by Jonathan Rand – Dating can be hard. Especially when your date happens to be a raging kleptomaniac, or your grandmother’s bridge partner, or a mime. Check, Please follows a series of blind dinner dates that couldn’t get any worse — until they do. Could there possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel?
A Short Comedy, 25-35 minutes
2 male, 2 female roles (ages 16 and up) *
* The two “date” roles will need to be versatile in their physicality to depict several different characters as the dates go on.

“Along for the Ride” by Jay D. Hanagan – Kerrie and Karl both race for the same cab and agree to share. Their subconscious selves ride along, so the audience hears what they say to each other and what they are actually thinking throughout this charming comedy about love at first sight that just takes a while to blossom.
